Yet adhering ritually to daily regimen of immune fortification. While Regeneron is a company I’ve followed for over two decades, and have no doubt that monoclonal antibody therapeutics will reduce the consequences of the virus in increasing numbers of people who contract and spread it, I still view Covid-19 as a master assassin killing and maiming machine brought by nature to cull our noisome and murderous herd of fools.
So given the outrageously out of control spread now—spread that gives the killer virus an opportunity to mutate and neuter or invalidate therapeutics and vaccines at any given transmission, which is now more than twice every second in the failed United States alone—we still need to focus intensely on defense rather expend energy on the hopes of the offense playbook of science.
Subdue The Enemy Without Fighting
As with all things medicine, you don’t want to go the hack Neanderthal western approach of getting ill and then throwing machines, toxic chemicals and steel edges at your vital organs. You first and foremost want to prevent getting ill in the first place. This is right out of Sun Tzu by the way, his ultimate principle in fact–-the supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.
As above, so below. Covid-19 and any corona virus like the cold or flu is a war against your immune system, your lungs, and in the case of La ‘Rona: cardio, vascular, neurological, psychological and essentially anything else you got. So no reason not to use Sun Tzu principles here, including the force multipliers of the immunological kingdom.
Force Multipliers
The only updates I have to report on my protocol—the morning portion of which is detailed here—are a daily capsule of supercritical extract of oregano—which is an antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral—and a teaspoon of the delicious osha-infused honey from Milagro Herbs.
Osha is part of my standard winter medicinals anyway. This Rocky Mountain herb is a relative of parsley and carrot—two other lifelong standards here at CentComm—and is definitely bear medicine. Bears will dig up the root, munch, and even spread it on their fur. Is anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial. Some say anti-viral and an immune booster. Certainly good for wounds. Will be no surprise to enthusiasts that science has figured out it has abundant amounts of melatonin and serotonin. Is love at first bite for the roots tribe.
Usually I like to chew on some root, maybe make a tea, Can be steeped repeatedly. Recently discovered this honey at the farmers market and the more the merrier. Just the sort of respiratory benefiting herb you’d expect to find up above 7,000 feet in the sky.
More Mountain Classics
Apropos oregano, the name is derived from the Spanish orégano and Latin orīganum via the Classic Greek ὀρίγανον or orī́ganon. This is a compound term that unites ὄρος or óros which means mountain and γάνος or gános which means brightness. Oregano is brightness of the mountain.
You can use the herb liberally in cooking, obtain supercritical extract capsules, and also avail yourself of oregano oil. Mix in some lemon juice, ginger root, turmeric, and aforementioned honey with a little spring water and whatever else you like and you’ve got quite a revitalizing and protective tonic.
Salud.
